"Memories' By Di Garling

Hello 2 Crafty fans. I hope you have all had a great week. Today it is my turn to share  a layout with you.   A friend of mines daughter got married recently & she has given me some beautiful Wedding pics & I wanted to do something special as I think Wedding photos deserve a "special" page to showcase them, & what better piece of chipboard could I use to do that job than this gorgeous
2 Crafty  "Albert Square Frame" & lots of  Green Tara flowers,  ribbon & Crystal Flower Sprays.
I do so love this chipboard frame, it really creates a statement. Here I have given it a treatment of "Impasto" medium which I simply just blobbed on roughly with my finger to create this lovely lumpy bumpy texture.

When dry I simply painted it with white acrylic paint & gave it a spray with Pearl Glimmermist to give it a bit of pearlescent shimmer. Next on this layout I have used a little 2 Crafty Mini word "Memories". I felt with everything else on this layout, one of these mini words were just the perfect size
.

Lastly I have used yet another 2 Crafty chippie, the  "Butterfly Frames". I love these particular butterflies, they are so fine & delicate. On both this butterfly & the mini word, I have also used some more Impasto Medium to give them both some texture & then just finished them off with a Bronze Metallic Paint. I then applied a  small amount  of a Bronze Stickles to the Butterfly, just to add some  sparkle.
Well thats all for today, I hope I have inspired you to perhaps scrap some of the many beautiful Wedding photos that I am sure you have tucked away in a drawer.
Until next time.
Cheers Di  xo

An art folder

Hi there, Natalie here .... with my latest 2 Crafty project.

For this project I have used 2 Crafty chipboard to decorate a folder which I have finished using fabric, paints and stamps.  I couldn't find quite what I was looking for in my stash, so I took one of the larger swirly pieces and cut it up!  See - you don't always need to use a piece exactly as it came out of the packet ..... I just chose sections of the large piece that I wanted to use and snipped them off, creating several smaller pieces that were more suitable for what I wanted.

The "2012" is one of the new release products, it comes in a sheet with several in different fonts.  Perfect for putting quick dates on layouts or dating a mini album.

So for the front of my folder I used one of the new little frames, I love these and know I will be using them over and over again.

I just wanted the word "everyday" so again I have taken it from a piece rather than using the product as a whole.  It actually says Everyday Moments, set inside a circle, but as I just wanted the "everyday" I simply snipped off that section.  I have put the other word and the cirlce aside to use on a future project.

Here's my finished folder:

A list of 2 Crafty products I have used:

Tiny Henri's Frames - fr0068
Everyday Moments - wordeveryday
Ruby's Swirls - db0044
Mini Tags - m00363
2012's - m00397

Go create something!

"Your Childhood Remembered" by Nina

Hi 2Crafty followers!!  hope you have had a great week!

The 2Crafty project I would love to share with you today is based around a photo I found of my son, taken over 14years ago at a pixie photo baby shoot! It is amazing just how quickly time flies by - it still feels like yesterday when this gorgeous little boy was bouncing on my knee!

I have used the 2Crafty Fays Flourishes and the title Your Childhood Remembered on this layout.

the Flourish and title have both been coloured using acrylic paint.

On close inspection, you can see i also used some masking tape, behind the title to make it pop on such a busy background.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and can manage to fit in some time to create with your own 2Crafty products!

thanks for stopping by, keep smiling, and creating!
Nina

Leafy Swirls - Belinda

I am lucky that I have been shown how to make lovely hand made flowers by some of my scrapping friends. The flower in this layout was demonstrated by Anetha. I used the fantastic Leafy Swirls to add some more interest to this flower. I used my markers to colour it brown and green, any markers are fantastic to add colour to 2Crafty chipboard.

Leafy Swirls are handy to have in your stash if you use a lot of flowers as they are a great way to add another dimension to the flower.

Thanks for stopping by 2Crafty and don't forget to like us on facebook!
